NOTES FROM ANNIE'S ATTIC
This month, most of SHLT was contributed by Stone Hill friends who sent news to me by e-mail. Whoopee! I love this. It made it so easy to put this issue together. Please keep this up. It's great.

STONE HILL FRIENDS:YOU'RE INVITED TO A CHOCOLATE PARTY!--INVITATION FROM MIKE LoBue
SUNDAY MAY 24, 1998, (1 day BEFORE Memorial Day) at 2pm at Michael LoBue's house
Imagine, gathered amongst your friends in a room full of chocolate, while Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is showing on the big screen. I had just bought the movie on DVD a couple of weeks ago. As I was watching it, I had this incredible craving for chocolate, hence came the idea for the party!
BRING CHOCOLATE!
See what interesting chocolate dishes you can come up with, i.e.: fondue, fudge, snow caps, clusters or perhaps your favorite celebrity shaped cookie! And you know what's for desert? CHOCOLATE!!! That's right! How does Edy's Girl Scout cookie-Thin Mint chocolate ICE CREAM sound??? :)> (uumm, uumm, slurp/crunch!!!) There should also be chocolate milk, hot chocolate and gourmet chocolate flavored coffee to drink as well. I'll see ya there!!! --michael

SOME VERY KIND WORDS ABOUT STONE HILL
I received this letter by e-mail recently and thought Iíd share it here so that those who will not be at the May Stone Hill meeting may see what nice things this fellow had to say about us.
Ann,
Just wanted to write to you to tell you how unique Stone Hill is. I am sure you know, being in it, but I look at you guys, how big you are and see how much fun you guys can have. It's a rarity. I have been looking through the rec.arts.drwho group allot lately and I have noticed the same old tried and true political struggling that seems to go on in fandom. You know "oh I have been on this group longer than you, and I don't like what you said", that sort of stuff. I had a bad taste from all of the ST stuff before, but it still is a mystery to me why people get this wrapped up in stuff. I keep thinking about what you used to say at MOSI all the time when I see people get over involved in stuff like this. " If they could only be this assertive in their real lives, think of where they could go".
But you guys don't seem to be centered around an issue, like the Klingons here and Starfleet there. That's probably why you have lasted so long. But anyway, it's just a rare sight to see a group of people who actually have fun together, and have real lives too!!! If I had an award I'd give it to you guys for being outstanding pace setters. More groups should strive to keep up w/ the example you have set.
Chris
