NOTES FROM ANNIE'S ATTIC    Well, I thought I was going to get Stone Hill Launch Times rolling along on the information superhighway, but it looks as if it's going to stay on the information dirt road (stole that from my friend Tom Jackson) at least for one more month. Some evil force from the great beyond has trashed all the software we had on our hard drive. If it were not for Terri Jones letting me borrow the use of her (and Mark's) computer, I'd be at the dining room table writing this paper in longhand.
The most annoying thing (for me) to have lost is my e-mail address book. For some bizarre reason nobody I know can figure out, you can't save the address book file on WinCim to a disk or even print out a hard copy. So, I'm lost and alone right now, cut off from e-mail. Please, if you have an e-mail address, send it to me by e-mail (74273.1607@compuserve.com), so I can redo the address book when we get WinCim reinstalled.. I do want to start sending out this newsletter by e-mail to as many readers as I can. It saves the Stone Hill SF Association a lot of money in printing and postage costs.
Speaking of the Stone Hill SF Association, it's got a birthday this month. On January 18, it will be 18 years old. We started out with 10 people attending the first meeting and 7 of those 10 attend regularly now. We've grown a lot over the years. We usually have about 30 people attending meetings, sometimes a lot more. We've not only had a good time for the past 18 years but have done some good for our community as well. We've donated money to Wildlife Rescue, Inc. (our primary charity), The Francis House, and the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary. Some of our members have donated time and talents to WUSF TV and the Museum of Science and Industry. We also have donated hundreds of pints of blood during the many years we have been having the bloodmobile come to our meetings. We've been running a pretty darn good SF, fantasy and horror convention each year for the past 15 years too. I don't mean to be boastful but we've put a lot of time and effort into what we've done and I think we should be allowed to take pleasure from our accomplishments. If we didn't think we were doing good things, we wouldn't keep doing them. Anyway, to all our members and friends whove given us support over the years, goes a big fat HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STONE HILL.!

This meeting will be a blood drive meeting, so be good little Valentines and come ready to donate blood, There is no better gift than giving life to someone and you have the opportunity to give that gift when you donate blood.

ANN'S FENCING PAGE As those of you who have read this paper the last few months know, I've become interested in fencing. Though my practice has been interrupted by other obligations (such as NECRONOMICON) and a knee problem, my interest still exists and to prove it, I've got my own fencing web page. Thanks to Lauren Podolak, who also devotes web page space to this paper and other Stone Hill related items, I'm out there in cyberspace. You can find my page at http://milieux.com/stonehill/ann, so, the next time you are surfing the net, catch a wave to my site and check it out.

TILL NEXT TIME, TAKE CARE AND HAVE FUN!

P.S. Expect a fat S.H.L.T. next month. This February will mark ten years for S.H.L.T.
